Story “World”

—-Notice, I been working on this story for a year now so if those who comment have any bad comments, ex. thats lame. Go away. To all the other people Please Enjoy—

I was born in year 3050 along time after the war, yet, even still the effects of it lasted. I looked up at the blue glass in which most of my species lived and envyed them as they slept away their lives, never knowing the of chaos outside of them. I’m not supose to be writing this, and  even now if someone was to find it I would either be tortued to nearly death, or killed. No one knows I can read or write. A skill past down from my mother to me as, I was lucky to have stayed with her past five. You see, I am only five now, and my mom only the age of 16. I never met my father.

We live in a place called the 50273 Housing Unit, the only place I have known as my home. My mother was a breeder as well as the other 7 women and children that lived here.  Only girls lived in this unit, and I had never once met a boy before, although my mother spoke about them with such giggles and smiles. My mother was different from the other mother’s because, she told me the truth. The other mother’s would hush her and tell her she was going to hurt me later on, but my mother never stopped telling me the tales, the truth, the war.

Each child in the housing unit had been taught of the war, the chaos, how they were saving the human speices from ourselves. They taught of the cycle of life and the ranking system. We each learned what we were, “nothing but, humans,” their eyes are always sharp with anger. I never knew why they were so angry at us. We had not done anything wrong, had we?

Some how, I was always picked on the most, by them and the childern in the housing. I was always different, my mother had said it was a special different and would be happy for it one day. I didn’t believe her, I hated being different! As I dark black hair that went down my back, with dark chocolate brown eyes that made stand out. The other childern had light brown hair with light brown eyes. As well, I was always stronger then them, always smarter then them. I didn’t understand why though, I could always tell my mother was hiding something from me and when I asked her she would only tell me, “You will find out when you grow up.”

I love my mother but, I know I am leaving her soon. To go through what the war was intended to do. To “save our species from itself,” that the war had solved all of that.

I looked at my mother who sat at the front of our dome shaped house. Her face was sad and her dark brown hair curled around her face. I watched her for a long time till she noticed me. She wiped a tear fast and smiled trying to get me to forget that I was going away. I was going to miss her so much. I missed her already. The light flashed above us and I wondered what was above the clouds that coved this world. This was the world, this was everything, this was my world.
